Meet The 'Team'
Lauren Kelly
The team is me! I'm Lauren, the designer, artist, maker.
I process your order (in my Etsy shop) from start to finish, answer emails, create custom designs and run everything behind the scenes at Thistle and Fox.
I'm also known as Ginger Kelly - a freelance illustrator of fairy tales.
I work part time during the week as a vet nurse.
I am committed to sourcing the most sustainable, eco friendly materials available for custom printing to offer to my customers as printed on demand and ethically 'custom handmade on demand' products. I always strive to improve my sewing practices, energy consumption, streamline order fulfilment, packaging and waste disposal wherever it is possible to make more sustainable choices. This includes plastic free packaging wherever possible, recycling materials, certified organic fabrics and using all natural fiber materials in the production of my handmade products. Fabric scraps from my sewing production are often made available for sale (or 'cover cost of postage only') scrap bundles on my fabric destash instagram account.

Homewares Printed & Handmade via Spoonflower Home Department - 2-3 week production + free standard shipping (4+ weeks transit time to Australia) = total turnaround time approx 8 weeks
Homewares & Custom Handmade orders made in my studio - fabric printing time (1-2 weeks depending on chosen options) + transit time for fabric arriving in my studio (1-4 weeks) + 1-2 weeks making time + up to 1 week transit from my studio to your home (Australian addresses only) = total turnaround time approx 8 weeks

Record the accurate Design Name/Design Number or Copy & Paste a link to the design in the provided text box on the order form when you place your order.
Sorry, I don't sell fabric printed with other artists designs (or yours) just my own!
Choose Base Material
From basic quilting weight cotton like Petal Cotton to upholstery weight fabrics like Velvet or Denim, there's a base material to suit any project.

Every order is printed on demand.
Customize the Design
When ordering fabric via my website, designs can be printed smaller or larger scale .
They can also be turned on their side if this better suits the way you will cut out your project.
Just get in touch before you place your order to arrange any customizations that aren't already offered
Choose Amount
Order as little as a 20x20cm SWATCH,
a fat quarter or fabric by the yard or by the metre
* Order more than 1 metre or 1 yard and it will print in a continuous piece
If half metres are an option in the menu of the fabric you are interested in, the minimum order is a quantity of 2 (equivalent to 1 metre)
Printing can take 10-15 business days to complete

Choose Wallpaper Material
Smooth wallpaper is prepasted water activated paper, 100% removable so it's great for rentals.
Woven wallpaper is peel & stick self adhesive, repositionable, fully removable, it leaves no residue & it's easy to install
Customize the Design
The design scale can be Large, Standard, Small
I can even shrink it down to dollhouse size.
Take note of the images in every wallpaper listing to compare each version of the design

Fabric Printed on Demand
After you place your order, the fabric is printed & sent to my studio.
This part takes time - at least 4 weeks.
I Sew Your Order
Your order is created by hand from scratch.
I sew your order in my home studio (usually within 2-5 days) then send the finished, washed & gift wrapped items on to you as soon as they are ready.
