Our Voile is a tightly woven textile with very fine yarns, it gives a smooth hand feel and beautiful print quality. Made from cotton our Voile is breathable and comfortable to wear the tight weave makes it wonderful to sew.

Voile has a soft drape and appears both delicate and durable. It is a shear fabric when held up to the light and has a nice bright white base to the textile.

Each roll of fabric can have subtle variation in appearance and print translation. Natural fabrics may contain imperfections such as slubbing and yarn variation; These are characteristic of fibres derived from seeds and plants

CARE

Cold delicate machine wash individually or with like textiles, turn inside out to protect print. Do not soak, wring or bleach. Line dry in shade or flat. Iron on reverse on low cotton setting, can use steam.

Our care instructions are a general recommendation, depending on your print and product you may need to carry out your own testing.

Voile can shrink up to 4% on the warp and weft of the textile

In the Fabric Cut menu, you have the option of adding a half metre to your order of 1 metre or more.

 

To order 1.5 metres: 

 Add the 'By the Metre' option to your cart first ( quantity of = 1) then return here to order the 'Add on 0.5m', add this item to your cart, then proceed to checkout. 

You order will be printed in a continuous piece.

 

To order 2.5 metres: 

Add the 'By the Metre' option to your cart and change the quantity menu to = 2, then return here to order the 'Add on 0.5m' add this item to your cart, then proceed to checkout. 

You order will be printed in a continuous piece.

Note: These estimates are a rough guide only. If you're taller or shorter than average, you may need more or less fabric.

Adding extra skirt fullness or puff sleeves, wrap front detail or extra large pockets will require more fabric.

Allow for shrinkage when ordering any fabric.

Shrinkage estimates are provided in the fabric info above but will vary with your laundry & drying methods. 

I usually allow for at least 10% shrinkage when ordering yardage for my sewing projects. It's much better to over-estimate than underestimate how much fabric you will need.
