Quilts are handmade to Order
  • All fabric prints are illustrated by me.
  • Choose prints from my portfolio. Up to 48 designs can be tiled on the one quilt panel.
  • Organic Cotton Sateen
  • Size: approx 120 x 160cm finished size.
  • Soft cotton binding around the edge.
  • Padded and quilted with lightweight layer of organic cotton or cotton & bamboo wadding.
  • Made from entirely natural materials.
  • Machine washable.
  • I use the services of a local professional longarm quilter to finish the quilting stitches part of the process. Depending on her workload, it can take up to an extra 2 weeks to complete a quilt.
  • Most orders are ready to ship in 6 weeks
  • You can arrange to pay only the deposit up front. Cost of deposit ($120) covers printing cost for the quilt top and supply of solid backing fabric. To arrange paying a deposit & then 'pay as I quilt', please contact me so I can setup your custom order.
  • Payments can be made weekly or fortnightly for remainder.

These quilts are not hand pieced patchwork (which takes many months of work) but a printed 'faux patchwork' which is finished by quilting along the tiled design borders so it looks like a patchwork blanket. 
To sew a hand pieced patchwork quilt I would need to double the cost to cover my time, so it is technically possible, it just takes a very long time.
 
 
Optional add ons: 
 
  • The quilt top can be a single print or a patchwork pattern of multiple designs from my portfolio.
 
  • Quilted pattern can be horizontal lines, diamond pattern, large patchwork squares or an all over pattern that compliments the print.
 
  • Binding can be narrow or wide. Wide binding takes longer to sew and adds to the cost.
 
  • Batting (the padding inside the quilted layers) can be organic cotton or bamboo. Bamboo is ideal for warmer climates as it is lightweight, cool and breathable with a natural resistance to bacteria. Both materials are machine washable and durable. 
  • Wool batting is possible - though I generally don't recommend this for my cotton sateen quilts or where the quilt is likely to be machine washed as this fiber can shrink throughout it's life cycle and 'migrate' through the outer layer of the quilt, making the fabric feel fuzzy and sometimes a bit 'itchy' if you're sensitive to the wool fibers.

    Machine washable (warm or cold gentle cycle using eco friendly washing powder or detergent)
    Line dry, warm iron.

    Turnaround time is 6 weeks.

    Single Bed & Square quilts can take up to 2 weeks extra to complete as part of the sewing process is outsourced to another maker with the tools and skills for quilting intricate patterns.

    Fabric is printed on demand in the USA, shipped to my studio in Australia where I will create this quilt to order and post it on to you within 3 days of receiving the fabric.
