Whatever your fashion design requires Marlo is a great fit.
For softer home accessories Marlo makes a statement as napkins, throws, lampshades and soft furnishings.
Linen for fashion is an iconic everyday fabric. Featuring a textured weave which comes from a variable yarn width which supports the breathability and cooling nature of the fabric. Our linen has been woven as mid weight making it an excellent all-rounder. The fabric has a smooth surface and is slightly stiff so it holds structure and is lovely to sew with. Marlo has beautiful print reproduction.
A note about dark coloured prints:
The natural slubs and tiny imperfections that are characteristic of natural fiber fabrics can result in small spots of unprinted fabric when a yarn slub or fleck of lint is caught on the surface of the fabric and prevents the fabric beneath from being printed. Tiny flecks and spots like this are more noticeable for prints with a dark background colour. If this bothers you, choose a print/colourway with a lighter coloured background or you may prefer a synthetic fabric which is more likely to be of a uniform printed colour and texture.
CARE:
Cold gentle machine or hand wash individually, use quality laundry liquid/powder, wash inside out to protect print. Do not soak, wring, rub, bleach or tumble. Pull back into shape and dry flat or on hanger. Warm iron on reverse side. Dry clean using Hydrocarbon (perc free)
Our care instructions are a general recommendation, depending on your print and product you may need to carry out your own testing. can shrink up to 5% on the warp and 3% on the weft of the textile
